Headline: Dead Sea Reveals four 1,900 year-old Roman Swords in cave

We have waited here in darkness for nearly 2000 years, listening to the
winds sigh and the rocks groan.
Starlight spotted the cave floor, as the skies turned and turned and turned.
Slivers of silver, saw decades gone, in an instant.
We have missed the warmth of skin, the dirge of blood and bone.
Salty air swaddled us, hugged iron, sustained the wood
where Romans etched their gods.
For us, there were no sides; just bloody hands
and the keening of Judean women who had lost.
The Dead Sea heard our stories, kept our secrets in her silent waters.
Until we heard men crawl all over her; heard the roar
of metal slaves and foreign tongues.
Then more men came with soft hands and gentle tones.
They spoke of history as they prised our bones
out of darkness, into sand sharp sun.
